This is happening in your country. This should legitimately give you nightmares.
That's funny that he's using Makeshift Patriot from Sage Francis as his theme song - a song written in the wake of and inspired by the outrageous backlash of faux-patriotism after 9/11.
With videos like this getting 60,000 hits (we of course are not helping by posting it - so add 3 or 4 more to that), it is no surprise that these wackjobs are bringing guns to town hall meetings as of late. Oh yeah, the guy in the link was standing in a church parking lot.

The easiest thing to get

Rob Rogers is the man. And we also like the Post-Gazette, which originally published that cartoon yesterday.

Dear crazy fucking lunatics:
Stop shooting people. Just cut it out; we're all over it.
We're probably going to drop kick the first person we see dahntahn today vomiting words up about responsible gun owners and the Second Amendment and how Madison and Jefferson used to write letters to each other about how sexually excited they got over the thought of Jesus holding an AR-15. We know it's coming; it always does.
But we would just like to remind said word vomiters that the Constitution of the United States does not grant you permission to become John Rambo:
And that's all I have to say about this Godforsaken mess.

And they're getting crazier and crazier
As you all may know by now, the fourth murder with political undertones this year occurred yesterday. Also, as you may be aware of, the guy who did it was a fucking lunatic, as are all people who go out of their way to murder people - especially when doing so in, you know, museums.
And what might have been glaringly obvious, sadly, is. The guy who did this was another right-wing ultraconservative gun nut with a hankerin' for anti-Semitism.
Hell, even Shep's freaked out at his own viewers:

James Wenneker von Brunn spent much of his adult life on the seething fringes of racial politics, fulminating about blacks and blaming Jews for everything from communism and syphilis to the "hoax" of the Holocaust. We understand that we're a little harsh on our conservative friends, to say the least. But when shit like this keeps happening, you have to raise a few eyebrows. If this was an isolated event, it certainly would not be provoking us to fidget a little. But after that crazy ass guy shot George Tiller and that other crazy ass white guy went and ruined an entire city's April, we've gotta raise a few eyebrows at the far right, which, despite their apparent correctness in everything they do, is certainly making waves and discrediting themselves fairly worse than the far left.

Mayor Ravenstahl = Joker, The NRA = Animal Mother
And man is Animal Mother pissed. Turns out our favorite gunslingers are not too privy on Mayor Luke's notion that a good way to stop guns from getting into the wrong hands is "compelling" gun owners to report the loss or theft of their firearms to law enforcement within 24 hours of becoming aware that the weapon is missing.
The NRA, in its 19-page complaint in Common Pleas Court, wrote that the ordinance "severely restricts and/or infringes" the individuals' "ability to possess firearms in their own home for personal protection and business purposes and further constitutes an unreasonable search."
And I do guess that if you have a gun that is not registered, so you have an illegal gun, and it gets stolen and you have to call the cops and let them know that you and the guy who who stole your gun broke the law, that too creates a problem for lovers of freedom everywhere. And you know that will lock up some of your best ammo purchasers: who's going to get a gun permit when it's more American to show everyone your constitutional right to be a badass?
It quotes state law that bars municipalities from regulating the "ownership, possession or transportation of firearms."The complaint asks for an injunction to prevent enforcement, followed by a decision declaring the ordinance unconstitutional, and payment by the city of the plaintiffs' attorney fees and costs of litigation.
